Recipes for toddlers and babies – Musical instruments for little children

Making baby porridge yourself is easier than you think. There are also practical kitchen gadgets (such as the Avent by Philips or the Babycook Neo by Beaba) that cook and purify the food automatically.

We have each found here a sweet and a meaty recipe for you, that may not only be tasty for babies:

Vegetable meat and potato mash

Ingredients:

• 100 g vegetables (eg carrots, zucchini, pumpkin, broccoli or cauliflower)

• 50 g of potatoes

• 30 g of lean meat (beef, pork, poultry or lamb)

• 1-2 tablespoons of fruit juice (orange juice has the highest vitamin C content)

• 1 tbsp rapeseed oil

 

Preparation:

1. Wash the meat and cut into medium sized pieces. Cook it without spicing gently with a little water and puree it. Tip: If you use tender meat for baby porridge, it is easier to puree. Alternatively, you can also take minced meat for baby porridge. Also cook this meat - do not fry.

2. Thoroughly wash the potatoes and vegetables, cut them all down and simmer in a little water or leftover broth. Be careful not to cook it too long to preserve as many nutrients as possible.

3. Add the pureed meat and boil everything again.

4. Add fruit juice and oil and stir well. Depending on the consistency of the mash you can also add some of the cooking liquid.

5. If necessary, puree the baby porridge again

 

Depending on the cooking time of the individual ingredients, you can also cook the meat together with the vegetables and potatoes. Then it is enough to puree the porridge at the end only once.

 

Semolina porridge with peach sauce

Ingredients:

20 g peach (about 1/4 peach)

200 ml of your baby's usual formula (eg breastmilk)

20 g semolina for babies (about 6-7 tbsp)

Preparation:

peach puree

1. Wash peach and cut into small pieces.

2. Purée with a hand blender until a soft porridge is formed. If necessary, add water.

Milk and cereal

1. Prepare milk formula, if necessary according to the instructions on the packaging and then place in a bowl.

2. Add the semolina, stirring constantly.

3. Mix the milk and cereal porridge with the pureed fruit.

 

Of course, healthy food also helps your baby have energy for the whole day, which also needs to be broken down, e.g. with musical early education. From the age of 3, one can also think about giving children musical instruments that do not fall into the category of "toys". Pentatonic instruments are particularly suitable as entry-level instruments because there are virtually no failures because pieces are easy to learn and play and the sound sequences always sound harmonious.
